Interwoven throughout the course are elements of mindfulness backed up by a solid foundation for building a Growth Mindset and creating a confident and resilient young adult.

Lesson 1: FEELINGS AND EMOTIONS - what are these and what do I do with them

We explore the different feelings and emotions and how they make you feel in your body. Children need to understand what they are feeling before they can use any tools to help them

Lesson 2: CALMING COPING SKILLS

Here we delve into various tried and tested techniques to assist children in coping with their anxiety. These include breathing techniques, meditation, visualisation, use of essential oils and many more

Lesson 3: MINDFUL COPING SKILLS

Some children find physical activity very calming and relaxing and so we look into various tools your child can use to help them manage their stress

Lesson 4: DISTRACTION COPING SKILLS

There are times when you can do something to make you worry less. Using a distraction isn’t a way to avoid the problem. Rather it’s a way to manage dealing with some situations that you can’t solve or aren’t going away.

Lesson 5: GOAL SETTING AND PROBLEM SOLVING - what motivates you, getting organised and problem solving

Most of children's anxiety comes from not knowing what is going to happen next and the unpredictability of life. In this lesson we look at areas of their life which can be controlled by getting the kids organised. A big part of this lesson is also teaching children how to problem solve so in the event of a situation arising they have the steps in place to diffuse the situation or issue

Lesson 6: BUILDING YOUR TOOLKIT - putting it all together 

In this lesson we gather all the coping skills that have resonated with your child and build their very own Stress management and coping skills toolkit which they can refer to every time they are feeling overwhelmed

LESSON 2: Essential Oil roller, bubbles

LESSON 3: Jar, glitter glue

LESSON 4: Zen garden box, sand, pebbles, sticks, balloons, packet with flour, sticky notes, scissors, pen

LESSON 5: Scissors, glue

LESSON 6: Scissors, pencils, pen, cue cards

day 3

We will explore:

  1. Mindful meditation

  2. Tapping - emotional freedom technique

  3. Making a calming jar

  4. Mindfulness activity - random acts of kindness

  5. Growth Mindset activity - morning routine

This course can help kids manage their stress, anxiety and worry with ease. You will find you'll get to know yourself better and be a nicer person to be around. The fun journey began on a Monday during Lockdown and sadly had to come to an end. One hour can really make someone happier in hard times. Have fun learning about all the levels of stress and anxiety and then working on how to solve it with different techniques which are fun and helpful. This course has really given me alot to think about

Emma’s therapy is vey good it helped me almost get over my anxiety but I need to do the rest she helped me as much as she could you will feel Abel to open up and say anything that troubles or hurts you she is kind and her voice will make you feel calm she has many wonderful tools to help with any problems and even after the sessions are done she said you could call her at anytime if you had a problem or just needed someone to talk to I haven’t used it yet but I’m happy knowing that I can she helps you go deep into yourself and helps you find out what your really anxious about not what you think your anxious about thank you so much for helping me through this journey and I know if I ever need someone your just a phone call away.
